What Happened over Christmas? Part 8

*Note: Because we left France to see my family we asked my husbands aunt to watch Caline and Frère for us. Here is what happened while they were with her.

New Years!

The Frenchman’s aunt, “Caline, Frère, réveillez-vous !
C'est Nouvel An !”
(Translation: Caline, Frère, wake up!
It’s New Years!)

Caline, “New what?”
Frère, “Humm?”
The Frenchman’s aunt, “C'est la célébration
de la nouvelle année!”
(Translation: It’s the celabration
of the new Year!)

Frère, “If that means food, I’m up!”
The Frenchman’s aunt, “Non. C'est juste Nouvel An.”
(Translation: No, it’s just New Year.)

Frère, “Oh, well, what’s the fun in that?”
Caline, “Thanks for waking us up for nothing...”

Christmas Day

Frère, “What is this?”

 Caline, “This wasn’t here yesterday!”

Caline, “I’m going to find out where this came from!”

Frère, “Wait sister, there’s a present and

it has our names on it!”

A few minites latter…

 Caline, “Well, how do I look?”

Frère, “You look good in pink!”

Caline, “You look good in yours too!”

Christmas Eve

 Caline, “There’s a strange lump in this rug
and it has a tail.”

 Caline, “I wonder what it is?”

 Caline, “Get out of there Frère!”

 Frère, “I’m not under the rug!”
Caline, “I can see your paw!”

Caline, “Now get out!!!”
Frère, “No! I like it under here!”

2 days till Christmas

The Frenchman’s aunt, “Oh la la !
Qu'est ce que tu fais là haut?”
(Translation: Oh my!
What are you doing up there?)

Caline, “Just looking.”

The Frenchman’s aunt, “Attention, ne tombe pas!”
(Translation: Be careful, don’t fall!)

3 days till Christmas

 Caline, “Caline, this doesn’t look like home at all!”

 Frère, “It doesn’t smell like it at all either!”

Caline, “Where are we?”
The Frenchman’s aunt, “Vous êtes chez moi.
Vous allez passer quelques vacances ici.”
(Translation: You’re in my home.
 You’re going to spend some vacations here.)

 Caline, “Ok, well if we’re going to stay here I’ll have to
check and make sure there is nothing scary here!
So far this drawer seems uncertain!”

 Caline, “Humm…”

 Caline, “Well there’s nothing under here.”

Frère, “Good, I’ll hide here, you go check the rest!”

and it's not Christmas yet!”

Frère, “Oh, merci pour le nouveau panier.”
(Translation: Oh, thank you for the new basket.)

up even if you do fit so well
in that box!!!”
