The Work Man

The Frenchman’s wife, “Frère, do you see that?”

 Frère, “See what?!”

 Frère, “Where is it?”

 Frère, “Is it up here?”

 Frère, “Or over here?”

Frère, “I give up.  I don’t see anything.”
The Frenchman’s wife, “Frère, it’s out the window.”

 Frère, “What is?”
The Frenchman’s wife, “There was a man just behind you!”

Frère, “Really!!!”

*Note: The men that have been working on the pigeonary are almost done but Caline and Frère do not seem to be so very intrested in them.  To see more posts about the pigeonary click here.

Smelling the Cacti

 The Frenchman’s wife, “Frère, what
are you doing?”

 Frère, “Nothing!

A few moments latter…

Caline, “Are you doing that thing?!”

 Frère, “Oui, but don’t
let her find out.”

 Caline, “Ok, we’re just
smelling the cactus.”
Frère, “Yep, that’s all
we’re doing.”

 Frère, “I’m going now, nothing
to see here.”
The Frenchman’s wife, “Really?”

The Frenchman’s wife, “Caline, are you
doing what I think you are doing?”

After zooming in…

 Caline, “No, I’m just
smelling these.”

  The Frenchman’s wife, “Caline!!!”

Caline, “What, I’m just smelling it.”

*Note: I have no idea why Caline and Frère were biting the cacti.

The Frenchman’s wife, “Oh you two!”

Caline et le Haricot Magique

*Note: When I was cooking Caline became very interested in a can of beans I had opened. So before I dropped it in the recycle I gave it to her (if I hadn’t she would have just dug through the recycle to find it) this was what she did with it:

Caline, “Oh that smells so good!”

Caline, “If only I could get my head down far
enough, there’s still some at the bottom!”

Caline, “Oh, it turned up right!”

Caline, “Well maybe I can just
move it back here…”

 Caline, “…and now I can…”

Caline, “Oh it doesn’t work! I can
only lick the top edge”

 Caline, “Well, there is this!”

Caline, “Humm, there’s the good tast!”

*Note: I washed out the can before giving it to her but I forgot to wash off the lid.

Why are we in the bathroom?

The Frenchman, “Do you realize that it has been over
a month since you two have had a bath?”
Caline, “I’m clean I promise, you can
turn off the water!!!”

Frère, “Why do bother washing us?”
The Frenchman, “Because it gets rid of your shedding
fur which can give you hair balls.”

Frère, “I would rather have a hair ball than this!”
The Frenchman, “Oh Frère, a bath really
isn’t that bad, now is it?”

Frère, “I’m leaving!”

*Note: To see pictures of Caline and Frère’s last bath click here. This is bath number 11.

Frère’s Afternoon

One O’clock

The Frenchman’s wife, “That doesn’t look
comfortable at all!”

Two O’clock

Frère, “Lick.”

Frère, “Clean.”

Three O’clock

The Frenchman’s wife, “Did you
get cold?”

Frère, “Zzzz…”

Four O’clock

The Frenchman’s wife, “Back on the
pillow again I see.”

Five O’clock

The Frenchman’s wife, “Oh, you stretched! And your
sleeping with your eye open.”

The Frenchman’s wife, “Oh good, you closed it,
it was starting to be a little scary.”

Six O’clock

The Frenchman’s wife, “You’ve really love sleeping
on that pillow today!”

*Note: When my husband came home just a little bit after the last picture Frère ran over to him and began to meow very loudly for food as he does every evening. Frère’s life is centered around his loves, Food and sleep.

The Pillow Monster Strikes Again

The Frenchman’s wife, “Caline, what are you looking at?”
Caline, “There’s something behind this pillow!”

Caline, “I’m going to go find out what it is!”
The Frenchman’s wife, “Ok.”

The Frenchman’s wife, “Well, what is it?”

Caline, “You can’t tell?”
The Frenchman’s wife, “No!”

Caline, “It’s me! Now let’s play a game!”
The Frenchman’s wife, “Oh, ok!”

*Note: Caline loves to hide behind the pillows on the couch, to see more click here.

Return home!

*Note: When we brought Caline and Frère home we gave them some cat milk to make up for having left they for so long.

The Frenchman, “How do you like your milk?”
Caline, “Humm!”
Frère, “Oh, it’s so very good!”

Caline, “I’m so full, I think I’ll leave the rest for later!”
Frère, “More for me!!!”

The Frenchman, “Frère! Leave Caline’s milk alone!!!”

*Note: We put down the camera and ran Frère off but every time we had our backs turned for even a moment he was back.  In the end he finished her bowl of milk.
