Caline Attacks Tiger… Again!

 Caline, “I see you!”
Tiger, “Oh great here we go again!”

 Caline, “Gurrr!”
Tiger, “Ahhh!!!”

 Caline, “Kick, kick, kick!”
Tiger, “Ahhhhhh!!!”

 Caline, “You’re mine!”

A while later…

 Caline, “I’ve got you!”

 Caline, “You’re all mine!”

 Caline, “Gurrr!!!”
Tiger, “Ahhh!!!”

Caline, “You can’t get away from me! Kick, kick!!!”
Tiger, “Help!!!”

The Frenchman’s wife, “Caline, why did you all of
a sudden kick Tiger over there!”

Caline, “I finished my game.”
Tiger, “She finished me!!!”

*Note: Caline loves to play with Tiger. But she often plays very roughly and I have had to sew him back together many times, to see click here.

Un Jour de Neige

*Note: When it started snowing last night all Caline could do was stair out the window, and this morning she was so excited that she pawed at the windows and meowed for us to take her out and then staired some more just like this:

Caline, “Oh I want so bad to go out!”

*Note: So we decided to take her and Frère out in the snow, this was what they thought:

 Caline, “Hurry up, let’s go!”
Frère, “I’m not so sure about this,
it’s scary and cold!”

*Note: After this picture Frère ran back inside and sat waiting for Caline. But she was too excited and wanted to explore.

Caline, “Why is the ground white?”
The Frenchman’s wife, “It's called snow, this
is the first time you’ve ever seen it.”

Caline, “What happened to the fountain?”
The Frenchman’s wife, “It froze!”

Caline, “I can walk on the water!”

Caline, “Now, where are those fish?!”
The Frenchman’s wife, “They’re
under the ice.”

 Caline, “Under all of this!”

Caline, “Well, I guess I’ll have to
wait for the ice to melt.”

*Note: Shortly after the last picture Caline ran back to the door because Frère was meowing for her, he’s scared to be alone.

Ficelle dans le Seau

The Frenchman’s wife, “Frère, what are
you playing with?”

Frère, “This!”

Caline, “What is it?”

Caline, “I want to see!”

Caline, “Oh, it’s just a piece of string.”

Frère, “It’s not just a piece of string!”

Frère, “See, it matches the bucket!”
Caline, “Still not very interesting.”

*Note: Caline and Frère have enjoyed playing in our green buckets since they were really little to see click here.

Under the Quilt

The Frenchman’s wife, “Well I wonder who
could be under there?”

The Frenchman’s wife, “Oh, hello Frère.”

Frère, “Do you mind!”

Frère, “I like it when I’m covered!”

The Frenchman’s wife, “Sorry I’ll cover you back up.”
Frère, “Thank you!”

The Frenchman’s wife, “How’s that?”
Frère, “This is now how I had it!”

Frère, the Food Glutton

 Frère, “Humm!”

Frère, “Yumm!”

Frère, “Humm!!!”

Frère, “And now we lick it clean!”

Frère, “That's one clean bowl!”

Frère, “I didn’t drop any over
here did I? No, good!”

Frère, “Well, all of mine is gone but…”

Frère, “… I know where to find more!”
The Frenchman, “Frère!”

Frère, “I’m going!”

A few moments later…

 Frère, “Yep there’s still
some up there!”
The Frenchman, “Frère!!!”

Frère, “What?!”

*Note: Frère is often trying to get more than his fair share of food to see click here.

Something New

*Note: Because our new apartment at the castle doesn’t have even one closet for storage we have been investing in furniture like this sideboard for the dining room. This was what Caline and Frère thought of it the evening it was delivered:

The Frenchman’s wife, “So what do you think of it?”

Frère, “It seems to smell ok.”
Caline, “Nothing strange about
the smell.”

Frère, “What’s down here?”
Caline, “What’s down here?”

The Frenchman’s wife, “This is the
inside where the shelfs are!”

Caline, “Oh, I see.”

Next morning when it was all cleaned up and the marble top on…

The Frenchamn’s wife, “What do you think now?”

Caline, “It looks better with the top on.”

*Note: The sideboard is  from the 1920, the carvings are of grapes, other fruits and sun bursts, it's very beautiful and made of oak.

Caline and Frère Plus Catnip

The Frenchman’s wife, “Caline look I
have a surprise for you!”

 Caline, “…”

 Caline, “…”

The Frenchman’s wife, “Caline! That was a
gift to you from my mother!”
Caline, “…”

Because Caline was not interested in the new toy at all I showed it to Frère.

The Frenchman’s wife, “So what
do you think!”
Frère, “I am not interested!!!”

*Note: Sorry Mommy but my cats do not seem to like catnip.
